Location: Camp Cedar Crest
Cost: $145 (on/before September 30th)

This year's camp theme is LEGACY: Living to Make a Lasting Impact based of 2 Kings 22:2 "He (Josiah) did what was pleasing in the Lord’s sight and followed the example of his ancestor David. He did not turn away from doing what was right."

There is simply no environment quite like Camp Cedar Crest. Regardless of the season in which the camp program takes place, camp is a catalytic environment for true-life transformation.

Join us for an exciting time of food, fun & relationships as we begin our journey for the next chapter as a community of believers in the city of Brea. Bring the family for some great food and family friendly fun as Pastor Kelly begins to reveal the next steps as It Begins In BREA!

  • History

In 1950, Loren Wood planted a church in the burgeoning city of Brea. The Foursquare Church grew with a positive influence and reputation, sharing the hope found in Jesus Christ.

  • Now

Today a new chapter is being written, a new community of faith is being formed from the legacy of that church. This revitalized group of “Christ-Followers” is passionate about passing on God’s Ways to the generations and nations…and “it begins with Brea.”

  • Next

A refined vision and mission of a 21st century church will emerge, a church that values FAITH – FAMILY – and FUN, striving to become the people, families and community that God has created us to be.

Giving

Giving may be the number one way you can put God first in your life. The Bible teaches us that God owns all things and He calls on us to be good stewards of His resources and blessings. God’s Word also refers to the tithe often (10%) as our first fruits brought back to Him. We believe that there’s no better return than giving to the ministry and missions work of the local church.

Core Beliefs

Our core beliefs are rooted in the Holy Scriptures known as The Bible. They lay a solid foundation by which we are building a community of faith – 2 Timothy 3:16.

Core Beliefs

  • We believe that the Bible is God’s Word, and not only contains truth but is truth.
    • II Timothy 3:16, 17
  • We believe that God is a three-person being: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
    • II Corinthians 13:14
  • We believe that humans were created in the image of God, but fell from perfection and relationship with God by voluntary disobedience.
    • Romans 5:12
  • We believe that while we were still sinners Christ died in our place; paying for all of our sins – past, present and future.
    • John 3:16; Romans 5:8
  • We believe that salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ by God’s grace – not by our good works.
    • Ephesians 2:8
  • We believe that by sincerely turning away from sin and whole-heartily accepting Jesus as Lord, one is made right before God.
    • II Peter 3:9; Romans 10:9, 10
  • We believe that each one who accepts Jesus as Lord becomes a new person inside.
    • II Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 2:20
  • We believe that all new believers should be baptized in water to publicly announce their new faith in Jesus Christ.
    • Matthew 28:19
  • We believe that Christians should regularly partake of bread and grape juice as symbols, to remember what Christ accomplished for them on the cross.
    • Luke 22:19, 20
  • We believe the Holy Spirit is the Person and the Power by which assistance and ability are given for serving and for sharing the life of God with others.
  • Acts 1:8; 2:4; I Corinthians 12:1-11
  • We believe that it is the will of God for believers to be led and empowered daily by the Holy Spirit.
    • Ephesians 4:30-32
  • We believe that a Christian should show spiritual fruit, such as love, as evidence of a Spirit-filled life.
    • Galatians 5:22-23
  • We believe that a believer’s daily walk and experience should never lead into extremes of fanaticism.
    • Philippians 4:5
  • We believe that divine healing is the power of Jesus Christ to heal in answer to the prayer of faith.
    • James 5:14-16
  • We believe that the second coming of Christ is personal and imminent.
    • I Thessalonians 4:16, 17
  • We believe that it is a believer’s duty to identify and regularly assemble with other believers in a local church.
    • Acts 16:5; Hebrews 10:25
  • We believe that authorities should be obeyed at all times except when things oppose the will of God.
    • Romans 13:1-5
  • We believe that all shall stand some day before God to be judged; and there receive eternal life or eternal death.
    • II Corinthians 5:10
  • We believe that heaven is the beautiful and eternal home of born-again believers.
    • John 14:1-3; Revelation 7:15-17
  • We believe that hell is a literal place of eternal torment for all who reject Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
    • Revelation 20:10, 15
  • We believe that leading people to Jesus is the most important responsibility of every believer.
    • James 5:20
